A message from the USU:
Hi,
Next Monday the USU Public Issues Program is hosting an information evening and Q&A session on the upcoming Campus 2020 Masterplan as part of its "Politics In The Pub" series.
The forum will run from 4-6pm next Monday 22 September. The venue is Hermann's Bar, Wentworth Building, Cnr City Rd & Butlin Ave. On this map, it is grid O18. The event is free and open to all interested staff, students, and members of the public.
The panel will consist of Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Richmond Jeremy, City of Sydney Councillor John McInerney, Col James, from the Fell Housing Research Centre, Geoff Turnbull from RedWatch, and the President of the University's Student Representative Council, Kate Laing.
Sydney University has been a building site for many years now, and will likely be so for many more. What will the campus of 2020 look like? Would YOU want to be a student or staff member there? What effect will this construction have on student housing, the University community, and our interactions with our surrounding neighbourhoods?
Our expert panel will discuss these issues and more.
Be sure to come armed with questions, suggestions and comments, and please forward this email onto other interested parties. After all, it's your campus!
For more information, see the information panels in Fisher Library, read the Bull magazine article, or download the Campus 2020 Masterplan at: http://www.usyd.edu.au/ab/about/docs/Campus_2020_Masterplan.pdf (1mb).
