BELGIAN BEER CAFÉ OUTING WITH GERMAN KLUB

17:30 - 21:00 Wednesday 29th April 2009, "Heritage" Belgian Beer Café, 135 Harrington St, The Rocks

"Half-price mussels and delicious Belgian beer! Now that's what I pay union fees for!"

In the interest of promoting Franco-Germanic friendship, fun and gastronomic delight, the unstoppable alliance of German Klub and French Society has organized a get-together on the neutral ground of: The Belgian Beer Café - A Classic Belgian Bistro For 21st Century Sydneysiders http://www.belgian-beer-cafe.com.au/heritage.html.

MEMBERS and ACCESS cardholders will receive a FREE beer of their choice (up to the value of $10). The half-price 'moules  frites' (mussels and chips) and a great range of other specialty foods will be available 6pm-10pm. You also can take advantage of happy hour from 5:30 to 6:30pm.

The incredible array of imported Belgian beers is bound to make your mouth water. But this is not an experience for the faint of heart. The subtle favors and varied consistencies of these crafty ales will make your preconceptions about beer melt out your ears. Get prepared, devise a plan of attack and start salivating by checking out their beer menu at:

http://www.belgian-beer-cafe.com.au/heritage-beer.html

For those poor souls who just can't manage to get excited about fermented barley juice, there is a fine selection of wines and even Belgian liqueurs!
The venue is on Harrington St, one block west of George St, just north of Wynyard station and at the very south end of The Rocks. Both train and bus are convenient, just walk up Grosvenor St from George St then take the next right onto Harrington and you will see the Belgian Beer Café on your left. All welcome – even if you aren't in German Klub or FrenchSoc, have no idea what Access is, or whatever! Attendance is FREE. Access cardholders will also receive a fantastic Belgian beer for FREE!
*Please RSVP on facebook (
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=76268472396) or via email (frenchsoc.usyd@gmail.com) so we have how many people to book for!*
