NEWSLETTER SEMAINE 5 SEMESTRE 1 2010

Bonjour les amis!

The French Society is very sad to be saying goodbye to our Vice President this week. Nikki has been fantastic and is the reason our events have been as successful as they have, so we would like to thank her for all the hard work she has put in this semester. Tu nous manqueras!

This week with FrenchSoc

General Meeting
[Middle level of Manning, 5-6 p.m., Wednesday 31st March]
We’re having our first General Meeting of the semester this Wednesday from 5-6 p.m. on the middle level of Manning. This is your chance to have a say in the events we run and to get involved.
We’re electing four positions to fill vacancies in our executive: Vice President, Language Officer, and two General Executive members (one of which is for this semester only, so if you’re only here for the semester, don’t let that stop you from running!). See the end of this email for position descriptions.
Becoming an executive member is a great way to become more involved and to get to know your fellow French Society members. If you would like to run but are unable to attend the meeting, please email frenchsoc.usyd@gmail.com with your name, Access number, and a short description of why you would like the position.
If you don’t want to run for anything, come along to the meeting anyway. We love member input, and there’ll be free food for FrenchSoc members!

Mid-Semester Party
Join us during the mid-semester break as we celebrate surviving the first half of semester in true FrenchSoc style: with French food and drink! We will be talking about the program and discussing how you can get involved.

Come to the New Lecture Lecture Theatre 106 from 1pm to 2pm on Tuesday the 9th of March. If you can't make it or have any questions, you can contact Gabriel on education.officers@src.usyd.edu.au, 0406 922 296 or 9660 5222.
