CETTE SEMAINE avec FrenchSoc:

FREE FRENCH FILM SCREENING WITH SYDNEY FRENCH MEETUP GROUP: SUR MES LÈVRES (READ MY LIPS)

Hermann's Bar, 6pm TUESDAY 5 May

Join Frenchsoc and The Sydney French Language Group for a FREE on-campus Film Screening of  "Sur mes lèvres" (Read my lips) this Tuesday night at Hermann's Bar! We'll be mingling, drinking, having pizza and speaking French from 6, and the film screening will commence at 7.15pm. You'll be able to buy pizzas from Hermann's for $5.50 with an Access card, and $6.50 without.

"Sur mes lèvres" is an office-comedy romance turns thriller in Audiard's follow-up to A Self-Made Hero. Lonely, frumpy and partially deaf, Carla is a downtrodden secretary in a large real estate development firm. Her thankless job involves long menial days, made more unpleasant by the cruel jokes played on her by co-workers. When her boss suggests she take on an assistant, she hires the first candidate sent by the employment bureau: Paul, a tough young ex-con who has never worked in an office. Initially at odds, the two outsiders bond through their desire to get back at their oppressors.

Information about the event can be found at the website for The Sydney French Language Group, http://www.meetup.com/sydney-french/calendar/10061377/ or see the facebook event: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=76104837831
