Bonjour les amis,
Welcome back after the mid-semester break!
This week with FrenchSoc
French Film Screening: Ridicule
[Manning Bar at 4:30 p.m., Education LR 351 at 5 p.m., Tuesday 13th April]
Join FrenchSoc as we watch Patrice Leconte’s award-winning French classic Ridicule. Come to Manning bar at 4:30 for a free drink, or join us for the start of the movie in Education Lecture Room 351 at 5. Don’t miss out on our first on-campus film screening of the year!
Plot summary: In the opulent France of Louis XVI, an unwitting nobleman soon discovers that survival at court demands both a razor wit and an acid tongue. This fish out-of-water drama has a minor country aristocrat enter the depraved world of the 18th century court at Versailles.
